Why I teach Reiki and how my classes differ
Reiki for me is like flying with the wisest, calmest and most loving angelic beings. I love the high and the joy that I get when I use Reiki and I want to share that with you. I do not teach simply because I am a certified teacher. I teach because I live Reiki all day, every day. Simple as that!
I learned Reiki some years ago at a time in my life when I was very stressed and my health was deteriorating. Many separate events had led me to that low point, some I created, and others I took on. But no matter. Within one day Reiki yanked me out of my canyon of fear, worry and stress and lifted me to the sky.
I am humbled by how something so simple to so and easy to learn can be so powerful.
On that day when I became Reiki, my life changed in so many ways. I became calmer, more grounded and my connections with those around me deepened. My physical health improved. I am now healthier and stronger than I was 20 years ago. Cool huh?
The amazing thing is that I see similar, life altering changes in my students too. Click here to read what my students are saying and here to read a first-hand account how one of my students used Reiki on herself and her kids to face her fear of skiing.
What I love most about Reiki
I love that anyone can learn Reiki. There is no dogma or belief to subscribe to. Reiki will work even if you do not believe that it will.
Reiki application is simple while its uses are virtually unlimited. Once you are attuned all you need to do is say “Reiki On” and the energy will start flowing. Click here to read a small sample of things for which I and my students use Reiki.
How I teach Reiki differently than most teachers
Typically Reiki is taught simply as a way to heal another person. I teach it with a strong emphasis on healing YOURSELF and manifesting success in all aspects of YOUR life. In my classes, you do learn how to use Reiki on another person, however I believe self-healing is much more important.
Think of it this way. You are with yourself 24/7; wouldn’t it be nice to have a tool that you can use all the time? (Yes, you can use Reiki during sleep too.) Plus, the stronger and healthier you are, the more you can help others. Self-healing first, helping others second.
I separate each Reiki Certification level into two nights because this gives the students an opportunity to live Reiki for a day and then share the experiences with the group on the second night. This sharing of experience and subsequent questions and discussions that follow are an integral part of the class. Many friendships have been formed in Reiki classes, students often remain in touch and support each other long after the training itself is over.
Because there is so much to learn, my Reiki classes take the full seven hours per level. I do not combine levels because I want to offer you the full range of Reiki experience.
I also offer continuing education Reiki classes several times a year that help you solidify your Reiki skills and learn new ways to practice Reiki.
My goal when teaching Reiki
To get the most benefit out of Reiki you must USE IT. That’s the trick, it’s not enough to just be attuned, you must apply it. The more you use Reiki, the more powerful it will become for you.
My goal and intention for every class is to make sure you walk away with tools you can use daily for the rest of your life.
I love Reiki and I am humbled every day by its power and versatility. I hope to share this joy and passion with you.
